MSNBC personality Chris Matthews on Thursday night compared White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer to the Iraqi minister of information under Saddam Hussein while discussing President Trump's accusation that former President Obama wiretapped Trump Tower.

Matthews was interviewing Rep. Karen Bass (D., Calif.) when he made the comparison.

"Today at the White House briefing, as you said congresswoman, Sean Spicer played ‘Baghdad Bob' trying to defend the president's wiretapping claims," Matthews said.
