COURIC: "Let me ask you about the future of the party. Are you concerned the energy of the Democratic Party is from the Sanders and Warren wing and that you'll get to -- pull too far to the left?"
PEREZ: "Well, I'm actually very excited about the energy the Democratic Party right now. Because let's -- let me give you an example. Last weekend in Delaware there was a very important race in the state's Senate. The -- the state's Senate is currently deadlocked and this race was going to determine whether the Republicans or the Democrats control the Senate. When the race took place previously the republicans lost -- lost by two points. This is an example of what we have to do with scale. The Democrat Stephanie Hansen won by 16 point. The DNC invested hundreds of thousands of dollars, hundreds of volunteers."
