Nat’l Economic Council Dir.: If We Pass the American Rescue Plan Now, We Could See 7.5 Million Jobs Created This Year

‘Those are the stakes involved, and without this kind of decisive action, we’re going to have a much deeper economic hole’

EXCERPT:

DEESE: "Well, I would just point to, you know, just one example of an independent analysis that was done of the American Rescue Plan by Moody’s. And what they said — what they found was that if we pass the American rescue plan now, we could see 7.5 million jobs created just this year, and we could see a return to full employment a full year ahead of what is projected if we don’t. So those are the stakes involved, and without this kind of decisive action, we’re going to have a much deeper economic hole, and that’s -- that's why we are so focused on making the case for a decisive action now."
