Gov. Beshear on Covid: ‘We’re Dealing with a Fast Moving Train’

‘I think that what we have to do first is slow down the growth’

EXCERPT:

BESHEAR: "Well, I think that what we have to do first is slow down the growth, right? We're dealing with a fast-moving train that has devastating consequences for our families all across Kentucky. And before we can turn the train around, we got to slow it down and stop it. And then we turn it around. So these new restrictions along with doubling down on wearing masks and social distancing, encouraging and reminding people are an effort for us to slow down the growth because I think you were talking about it earlier, we have two dangerous things going on, a huge increase in cases which means there are more people that need hospitalization, need a doctor, and need a nurse than ever before.”
