Cruz Says Impeachment Trial Will Be ‘Full and Fair,’ House Dems Were ‘One-Sided’

‘We’ll not give into the kind of games House Democrats have played’

CRUZ: “What you noted this week will be the first time in a year that the president had the opportunity to defend himself, to lay out the facts, to lay out the law, to lay out the actual substance. We’ve seen months and months and months of a one-sided show trial from House Democrats where they didn’t want to hear from the defense. They shut out the White House. They shut out the minority. The good news in the Senate what I’m confident we’ll have a fair trial. We’ll not give into the kind of games House Democrats have played. Instead we’ll give both sides a full and fair opportunity to present their case.”
