‘The president telephoned Rahm Emanuel to congratulate him on his reelection’

SINK: "Rahm Emanuel won the mayoral election. I am wondering if the president had any reaction to that?"

EARNEST: “I didn't talk to the president about the mayoral election. I did note that the president had an opportunity last night to telephone Mayor Emanuel and congratulate him on his re-election."

NN FEMALE: "Did he vote?"

EARNEST: “Um, I believe that we indicated that the president did vote in the election and the president, while not saying who he voted for, has repeatedly indicated who he was supporting in the race."
