Rep. Hakeem Jeffries to Trump: ‘This Is Not Westeros’ and You Are Not ‘King’

‘Donald Trump appears to believe that he’s a king’

EXCERPT:

JEFFRIES: "I'm not sure I would characterize it as an all-out war at this moment on congressional oversight. Certainly he's conducting himself in an inappropriate way. The Founding Fathers did not want a system where a king was in charge. Donald Trump appears to believe that he is a king. This is not Westeros, it's Washington, D.C. The Founding Fathers were very clear. They could have chosen to have a constitutional monarchy. Instead, they chose to have a democratic republic. James Madison laid this out in clear and compelling terms. We are a separate and co-equal branch of government. We don't work for Donald Trump. We work for the American people."
