In an appearance on MSNBC on Thursday, Sen. Doug Jones (D-AL) waffled on his current avoidance of President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee, Judge Brett Kavanaugh.

MSNBC host Hallie Jackson asked Jones why he hasn’t scheduled a meeting with Kavanaugh, a common courtesy that senators offer the president’s choice.

“The holdup is that I want to see the hearing,” Jones said. “I don’t want meet with him until after I see how he does at the hearings.”
